Google Meet session tomorrow

Hi everyone,

I would like to run our first Google Meet session tomorrow (Thursday) at the following times:

Grade 8 - from 11.00am to 11.30am
Grade 9 - from 1.00pm to 1.30pm (extended to 1.45pm, if needed)

Note: the Grade 9 session is scheduled at the same time as a Humanities session, which will end at 1.15pm (please see your email for more information). Please join the Science session after 1.15pm.

These sessions are not mandatory and are an opportunity to catch up, check in and ask questions you might have about the work you have completed last week and this week.

I need to remind you about the expectations for participating in a Google Meet session. Normal classroom rules will still apply and I will be managing behaviour as I would in a classroom.

An email will be sent to you this afternoon with a link to a 'Google Meet Etiquette' document. By entering the Google Meet session, you acknowledge that you have read this document. The email will also contain the unique code you will need to access the Google Meet Sessions, as well as instructions on how to enter the session.

Welcome back!

Hi everyone, This is just a quick post to touch base and check in on you all. How are you all going? I hope you were able to relax and refresh over Spring Break. The times ahead are certainly very different, but we are all here for you, so just take things one day at a time. You will soon be receiving emails from school about what learning will look like in the coming weeks. However, for my science classes, all the information you will need (instructions for lessons, content and assessment) will be posted on this blog, so stay tuned! If you have assessment still to submit ("Follow Your Food" for Grade 8 and the Genetics problems plus the "Racing Extinction" task for Grade 9, you can still submit these to my email. Any questions can be posted on this blog or emailed to me and I will respond as soon as I can. Keep safe and stay indoors, everyone! We've got this!! (*insert fist bump here*)
