Good morning, everyone. I hope you were all able to enjoy the extra time off over the weekend, and now ready to get to work on this rainy Tuesday! Please see below the work for this week: Grade 8 Grade 8 - Accommodated (only for those students (eg: ELL or IPP) who would normally complete adapted tasks. Note: Grade 8 will complete a task resembling a 'Unit Final'. Don't get too worked up about this, though - it is formative (so won't count towards your final grade for the year), but you still need to take it seriously. You will only get one attempt at the task, but you can use your notes and there is no time limit. It is a great way to see how well you have understood the content from the Mix 'n' Flow unit. Hello grade 8, For your lessons for next week, you will need the following equipment: A plastic soft drink bottle (empty, clean and the label removed), no smaller than 600ml and no bigger than 2L. You will need the lid, as well. A pen/biro lid that DOES NOT have a hole in the top. A blob of blu-tack about the size of your thumbnail. You will be doing an investigation using these materials. However, if you cannot find them, I have provided an alternative activity to complete.

Good morning, everyone. I hope you all have a great weekend, even if it was a bit rainy yesterday. We were able to get out of the house for a bit and go for a small hike, which was wonderful! Please see below for this week's work. Grade 8 This week, there are TWO versions of the same lessons. One version is for students who would normally receive adapted or accommodated work in class, as assessments etc. Accommodated Lessons 1-3 Accommodated Lessons 4-5  (requires you to submit a Google Form task by Sunday 10th May) Lesson 1-3 Lesson 4-5  (requires you to submit a Google Form task by Sunday 10th May) Note: If you complete the Accommodated versions of these lessons when you would not normally receive this, you will be marked as having NOT SUBMITTED  your work.
